Hello everyone, we closed on our house on June 23rd and started our travels on the 25th! We first went to Indiana to have a few repairs done with the solar panels we had installed in March. We then took our time driving to Maine. In New York we crossed Lake Champlain on a Ferry which the RV took up about 4 car spaces. It was interesting to watch the GPS crossing over water.
We spent a lot of time in New Hampshire one of our favorite states. Stayed at a campground that had warnings of bear, but we didn't see any.
When spent a week in Maine with a group of RV campers which we were invited to. We went to Acadia National Park where we did a lot of site seeing. The picture shows the rocky shoreline of Maine at low tide.
This is a picture showing a dock with a ramp and a floating raft at the bottom. When it's high tide the raft and ramp will be at the same level as the dock. It's amazing to think that the tide rises 12 ft. each day.
We heard about the Lobster Ice Cream so we had to try it. It sounds awful, but it is delicious.
We enjoyed our many meals of Lobster, Lobster rolls and Haddock. We ate fish everyday!
After our week we traveled through Canada, went across the bridge at Sault St. Marie into Michigan and drove to Minnesota to meet with Joan's siblings for a fun weekend. Then drove on the Layne's parents for a family gathering with his sister from Maui being home. Now we are in Illinois catching up with Doctor and Dentist appointments. Looking forward to our next adventure.....not sure where.
